From version 1.1, this connector can transmit sample data from PI tags to the Movus Cloud.

 

1.Create AF elements under each Fit Machine parent element, and configure PI tag attributes for these elements.

2.Run the connector and check that data has been transmitted correctly.

 

Create Outbound AF Elements

 

Begin by specifying the AF elements and attributes containing the PI data to be transmitted:

 

1.Create elements under each Fit Machine element, using the outbound data template imported with the AF Library Templates (as part of configuring the AF database).


Create outbound data elements from template.
 

2.For each PI tag with data to be transmitted to Fit Machine, create a separate attribute. Its data reference should be PI Point, and the full PI tag name provided in the bottom right pane.  The attribute name will be used as the variable containing the data on the Movus Cloud platform, so use a meaningful name here.


Create attributes for the desired PI tags to be transmitted.
 

3.Confirm the Enabled and Interval settings for the outbound data element. Check in the changes to the AF database.


Confirm settings and save to database.

 

Run Connector and Check Results

 

To ensure the outbound data configuration has been completed successfully, it is important to check the results of the transfer.

 

1.Before running the engine, double check the engine settings. The default parameters for the outbound connection should work with the default template, however if another element template is used this setting will need to be updated.

2.Run the FitMachine connector engine.

3.Check the data in PI that should be transmitted. From PI System Explorer, right click on a PI attribute then select Time Series Data...


Check data history of the outbound PI tag attribute.
 

4.Since the connector sends the data on a regular interval, configure the chart to show data on the same interval. On the Sampled tab, specify a reasonable start and end time, set the Interval to the value used in AF, then click Refresh to see the data which should have been transmitted to Movus Cloud.


Check data at the same interval and time period as the connector.
 

5.Confirm that this data is appearing in whichever system is used to access the Fit Machine data.
