MOVUS FitMachine

 

 

FitMachine is like a Fitbit for Industrial Equipment – a sensor, cloud and analytics solution providing visibility, utilisation & condition health of equipment.

 

A FitMachine is magnetically attached to an existing machine. It uses wireless technology (such as Wifi) to transmit sensor data, which can then be easily viewed on the MOVUS dashboard, mobile app or stored in a dedicated data management system.

 

PI System

Quick and easy to install, collect data from and build upon, the PI System quickly reveals new ways to streamline processes and drive continuous improvements.

 

An installed PI System consists of the PI Data Archive for storing time series data, the PI Asset Framework for asset-centric models, and various connectors to integrate the PI System with other data sources.

 

FitMachine to PI Connector

 

 

The FitMachine to PI Connector, developed by Dimension Software, brings real time data from FitMachines into your PI System.

 

By storing FitMachine sensor data in PI, a range of data analysis options become available. PI Data Archive provides efficient and robust storage of historical data. PI Asset Framework allows for greater ease of managing a large number of sensors and machines, as well as streamlining data analysis calculations and reporting.

 

The connector also enables transmitting data from PI Asset Framework back to Movus Cloud.

 

Architecture

 

A simplified architecture diagram is shown below to illustrate how the connector links the MOVUS Cloud API with a PI System. The highlighted server runs the FitMachine to PI Connector engine.
